One month of goals

So it has been exactly one month since I began my list of goals and thought I would give an update thus far. I decided it would be easier to try and complete some of the 30/90 day goals at the same time and get myself into a little routine. So for the month of September I have been working on :

#3 Make my bed for 30 consecutive days

This one in itself is not too much of a bother as I only have one sheet and a comforter on my bed at the moment, being summer and all.

#14 Take vitamins every day for 90 days
I bought one of those pill holders and have left it on my dresser so I remember to take them every morning. So far i'm taking a muliti vitamin, an Omega 369 and Vitrex which is supposed to help with my raging PMS haha, we'll see if it actually works.

#15 Stop going to obligated events

I have so far declined one wedding of a family friend I have not seen in probably 15 years....I see no point.

#26 Get a minimum of 100 signatures on my animal rights petition

I was able to get approximately 35 or so signatures before I passed the petition onto a friend to bring to her work. She's been amazing and has collected a whole whack of them for me. I still have a bunch of friends, neighbours and co-workers to hit up so I think this will be a successful goal.

#32 Floss every day for one month
This goal has been my least favorite of them all as I had braces when I was younger and still sport the brackets behind my teeth to keep them from shifting. It's a pain in the ass to floss as I have to use a threader. I will most likely continue to floss after the month is over on a more regular basis than previously.... but I doubt every day.

#35 Read all of the unread books on my shelf (2/35)

Ughhh so I read the two most BORING non fiction books ever. The 1st was the Depressive Spectrum from like 1974 or something *snore*. The 2nd was Hormone Hearsay which has a few valid points but was very repetitive. I'm currently working on 28 Stories of AIDS in Africa which I am of course finding very sad and very touching.

#50 Put all of my digital photos on disks
I'm very close to completing this goal as I put a whack of my photos on disks while I was on vacation. A few more and I am finished.

#73 Finish the 1st 3 seasons of LOST before the 4th season begins

Phew!! Apparently LOST is not beginning again until sometime next year so I do have a bit more time than I thought which is a pleasant surprise. That being said I've watched the full 1st season and will be starting the 2nd one in the near future.

#41 Visit 15 of my placements at work (1/15)

I went to one last week and have a few more lined up in the coming weeks. It's nice to be able to put a face to the people I talk to on a daily basis.

Goals that I have fully completed thus far include:

#12 Try a new food IE Korean

Jennifer's birthday shenanigans involved dinner at a Korean restaurant....and damn it was good!!! I had a spicy shrimp dish with rice, delicious.

#56 Wear a tank top in public sans jacket

Even when I was a tiny little thing I always hated wearing tank tops or showing off my arms.....no idea why but believe you me if I was back to that size I'd be running around sleeveless waving them in the air for all to see. So this day I decided to run some errands, go to the bank, get gas, groceries, visit a friend and other such things for most of the afternoon....all in a tank top. It wasn't as horrible as I had imagined but doubt I will do it again anytime soon.
Has anyone else decided to make such a list?

Oh, and give Bort a nice welcome and lots of fish...he loves them.

pretty impressive. I am finding it hard to muster enough motivation to pay the bills at the moment. lethargy is me.

to make flossing easier i use the 2-pronged stick.

#32 Oi...I had the same thing (permanent retainer) until this past year. I don't even know why I had it, as my problem wasn't crooked teeth but a bit of an overbite. That thing made it such a pain in the ass to floss, and I wouldn't floss there because of it. Anyway, I saw a dentist some time ago and had it removed. I'm glad I did. :)

Good for you starting to take these off the list, and I especially like the delining of the wedding invite. Nice one.

Lost is giving you more time this season, and despite an uneven Season 3, the finale was excellent and I can't wait for it to return.

Don't know how you got that flossing picture. Ha.

That is some pretty good stuff... looking forward to hearing about the reading list getting taken down.

Yrautca, they gave me one of those sticks to, i've never used it.

Michael, see and my friend just had some put on as her teeth were shifting after all these years and she didn't want all the brace work to go to waste.

2DP, it irks me to go to such events and i've decided not to anymore. As for the photo haha i'm talented, that's how.

Scott, i'm working on it and am looking forward to the more interesting lot of my shelf IE The Kite Runner and such.

I would make a list like this, but I'm worn out from reading yours! haha

Maybe I should put "make a list" on my list?

Yaay for you. I work on a short goal basis right now. But this is really cool and I might totally steal it.

I'd make a list, but I don't have enough gut to follow through. I try my best to live my life one day at a time. Lately, that's enough. Kudos to you.

That flossing picture is crazy.
I have got to get on my goals, but I've been so busy with an ill family member. Perhaps I could take a page out of your book and put stuff I've already done on my list, then tick it off, I think I'll add, "Eat Korean" and "Take care of sick family member."

Jennifer, you can't put things on that you've already done silly :P

My list was up before we went out for Korean.
