I've only seen Flight of the Conchords twice however both episodes had me laughing out loud. Has anyone else come across this gem?

In this particular show Bret is feeling a bit self concious after a photo shoot with his bandmate Jemaine as their manager accuses him of being a small man. Jemaine takes it upon himself to try and cheer Bret up with the following song "Bret You Got It Going on" Enjoy!!

The show is funny, but it grew tiresome on me pretty quickly. One of those "Yeah, I get it, what now?" shows. But hey, if you like it, keep watching. Maybe check out the CD too.

When people say "Hey Rawbean, have you heard that new song by Flight of the Concords?" I sigh and say "no...." and usually don't end up checking it out. This is because the comedy seems so obvious to me.

HOWEVER....coming to your blog and reading this post I said to myself "Rawbean, give FOC a chance." And I did. I watched the video and you know what - I laughed out loud twice. It was really funny. Damn.

I love this show although I've only seen a few episodes. I don't have HBO...sigh...

Dudes, buy the boxset. It's genius! I avoided this show when it was on TV, but then someone got me it for Christmas last year, and now I'm a full convert. I quote this show far too much!

WIGSF, I saw my 3rd episode last night and I can see your point, but it still has funny parts.

Rawbean, Yay, glad you gave it a chance. I can't speak for the rest of the songs cause the Bowie one was bleh but this one was tres funny.

Wiwille, me neither but they run it on the Comedy Network a la reruns.

Claire, I plan to catch up on the missed episodes as much as I can.

I liked them initially but they get predictable in a hurry. Nobody does comedy like the British. Nobody.

I've heard good things about 'Concords,' but never seen the show (No HBO) or the movie, so thanks for sharing. I should probably just rent some of the first season & see if it holds up.

I thought they were just a band because I saw their "Ladies Men" video on VH1. lol
