Goal List Update

Working On:

#24 Try a new recipe once a week for 16 weeks 14/16

I was convinced that I had found the secret recipe for Anna Olson's amazing lemon squares and I was thrilled!!! Umm yeah dream on sucka these turned out NOTHING like her delightful treats, they were okay but not what I had hoped for ... les sigh...

These two recipes were a flop as well as far as I'm concerned. Chile encrusted Scallops with a Cucumber Cashew salad. I wasn't a fan of either.

Yay finally!! This recipe was lovely, a veggie curry! You know I've never made curry myself and it wasn't bad at all in fact I'm looking forward to making this again. It was super easy and super good! (Hey BB you forgot to mention I say super wayyyy too much) I might even try the President's Choice Naan bread to accompany it next time.

I was due for a good smoothie recipe and I found one yay!!! This one has frozen raspberries, peaches and vanilla yogurt. Seriously, it was so bloody good, I haven't had a smoothie in eons and this one was just delightful.

14. Take vitamins every day for 90 days (10/90)

Ugh! Enough said!!!

#35 Read all of the unread books on my shelf 13/35

I have very minimal room for my books at the moment and I'm trying to read some of the ones that I've been given or borrowed for the hell of it. I will most likely read them and then donate them to the women's shelter sale or wherever and thus will free up space on my bookshelf for the ones I will keep and enjoy. Swimming in the Ocean by Catherine Jenkins was one that I took from a friend, it sounded relatively interesting and I suppose that it was in it's own way. Actually at first I disliked it very much and wondered how I was possibly going to get through the whole book. In the middle I got used to her writing style and started to enjoy the novel a bit more than I had imagined I would. Will I keep it....certainly not. I'll pass it along to the next person perhaps someone that will appreciate it more than I was able to.

Completed:

22. Whiten my teeth at the dentist office

Good thing I know some swanky friends as these suckers cost upwards of $350 for a silly plastic (or whatever it's made of) tray. Mine is going to cost me a few vanilla sprinkle donuts instead so I certainly can't complain. The one thing I like about myself is my teeth.....and now they're going to be even more lovely and white! Yay!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sidenote: What the fuck is up with this weather?? It's -7 and the winds are reaching 90 km/h brrrrrrr makes me want to curl up and stay in with a nice cup of tea!! Or a fancy drink from starbucks....I'm drooling for an eggnog latte right now! Enjoy the weekend!

Always love the updates to this list, so: The lemon squares and smoothie look really good, take those vitamins Miss Ash (leave them at work as that gives you multiple opportunties), and I did the whole teeth whitening w/ the trays fitted to your mouth years ago with good results. It burned a little (gums) then, but is probably better now. My advice: Go slowly and have friends tell you when they are bright enough lest you look bizarre with crazy white teeth. Ha.

Those scallops actually look good to me! Good for you on continuing your goal list. I've had that whitening done too, but it doesn't seem to last. oh well...

Christielli, I'm just cheap!!!

2DP, good idea, i'll have to leave extra ones on my desk or something just in case I forget to take them. As for the teeth, the whiter the better I WANT crazy bizzare white!!

JLee, they had too much pepper and cumin seeds on them bleh less is certainly more in this case.
