Once again the weather was fabulous for this lovely weekend! I went to see Jennifer's roller derby game and her team kicked the other teams ass! I forget the actual score but it was like 200 and something to like 50 some odd points. Woot woot!!!

On sunday I took advantage of the sun and went for a nice long bike ride. It was surprisingly quiet on the path and I found a parking spot right away which is odd. I have but one complaint to those walking along the path.....move the fuck out of the way and hmmm I don't know maybe SHARE the path with others. Maybe it's just me but I like to treat the path as a sort of road if you will. If I pull off on the grass to grab a drink I always look for other people before hopping back on. Makes sense, however today several people just sauntered on right in front of me without so much as a look. A man, a woman and their dog just walked blindly on, dum di dum I almost ran over the dog, a woman and her baby did the exact same thing and yet another woman stepped back from the grass onto the path to take a photo but didn't turn around to see if anyone was coming......ugh! I had to swerve around her. I think I'm going to buy one of those awfully loud horns HONK HONK! I do have a bell which I ring when I come upon those douches walking four people across taking up the whole bloody path granted it doesn't help much, by the time they turn around to look I'm usually right behind them and they go in every different direction which is usually the same one I'm going........isn't bike riding supposed to be nice and relaxing?

I LOVE how you have the beautiful water on one side:

and gorgeous houses on the other! It really is a peaceful place to be!

I spent the evening curled up with a good book and some green tea. I also tried to watch a few movies from my childhood, The Goonies and Weird Science. The former I still totally love, the latter hmmm not so much. I wonder what the appeal was way back when anyway?

So gorgeous!! I need to come up there for a visit. I guess it's the same there as it is here with bike paths. My coworker cycles and tells stories of near wipe outs almost every day with people wandering in front of him or not yielding to one side. Dumbasses. Finally, I think "Goonies" is a guy thing, although I can't speak from experience since I don't think I've ever seen it to be honest with you.

I miss the parkway. I am looking forward to a good long hike when im down there next. Maybe you should come and we can go for sushi afterwards. you can go for a bike ride, and I can go to the gorge, and we can meet up 1.5 later or so....Goonies is great still...but Wierd Science?? COME ON!!! That movie's classic.

Looks like a great place to ride a bike. I need to search out all of Toronto's quietest spots... I have experienced the same anger as you on bike paths.

Jlee, you're more than welcome up this way :) As for the Goonies, give it a go and see what you think however it may be one of those movies you had to see as a child to appreciate it still.

PP, I thought you were giving up restaurants for your list?

WIGSF, good choice in movie sir!

Jennifer, you ladies were amazing just look at that score woo hoo!!!

Christielli, I have a friend who rides all of the time, i'll ask her for safe quiet places!

ASH!!! and then you left a comment on my blog about how teary you were for no sushi - and then i commented you back about it. You dont do the required blog followup reading. LOL!!! I dont remember what I said, but I think when i saw your teary emoticon, i conceded to 1 restaurant outing per month just to show myself how good ive been - this isnt lent, theres no hell to avoid. And sushi is YUMMY becuase its fish, and i can eat fish....

Weather & the Water looks great. Nice choice on the bike ride too. I keep meaning to get a bike one of these years to do just what you did. Finally, I also still love 'The Goonies' and 'Science' doesn't hold up quite so well, but there are some pretty funny scenes and you have to forgive the ending and the whole scientific process in making Kelly LeBrock anyway - it was the 80s.

2DP, you should totally buy one though it might be a little hot your way.

I came over here to tell you that if you have not yet tasted the deliciousness that is Ranch Doritos dipped in sour cream, then you MUST try it. It's surprisingly addictive!

PS I'm so jealous of your weather. Although it was finally sunny here today.
