I watched a few episodes of Intervention this evening and started to laugh, not that addiction is funny but all I could think about was Rawbean once commenting "How can these people not know that they're on this show???" It's true, WTF, maybe they're too high to notice! It's been on for years, it's not like it would be a big surprise! "What do you mean I'm on Intervention" insert perplexed face!

I popped in to visit my friends cats after work as she is away and didn't the fire alarm start doing that loud "BEEP" "BEEP" every few minutes. Do you think I could find a chair high enough to hoist me up? Nope! I even tried pushing the couch under it and still could not reach. I called my friend who lives like 25 minutes away, it's freezing cold, dark and snowy and the lovey man showed up! He was shaking his head and laughing at me. It took him all of two seconds to change the battery, I thanked him and said good-bye, then I walked into one of the front rooms and saw a big ass ladder, DOH! I'm not telling him that! I seriously looked EVERYWHERE but that room! Worst looker ever right here!!

Apparently we're supposed to get some big ass storm over the next few days! Fingers crossed we get a snow day or two out of the deal! That would make me a very happy kitty! Sleeping in, flannels, tea and a good book *sigh*

LOL I watch a lot of Intervention and have thought the same thing as you and Rawbean. I notice now that there are more people who are like "I knew it!" when the Intervention happens. You gotta wonder... but I didn't know of the existence of that show until about a year ago so I guess they might not either, especially since they have other priorities besides watching TV.

The ladder story makes me laugh!

A snow day would be so awesome! I've never had one as a teacher!

I don't care how messed up somebody is on drugs, they know they're on some show about their drug use. Whether it's Intervention or So You Want To Marry A Gluehuffer, they know and they want to use the potential fame to score more of whatever they're on.

Christielli, ya I was going to say they probably have other recreational activies rather than sitting infront of the boob tube like me all day :P

I can't believe you've never had a snow day ever as a teacher! You're sooo due!

WIGSF, ya they tell them it's a documentary about drugs and then BAM they walk into an intervention.

Hehe yea I just can't watch intervention anymore. It's just bad all around. I'm getting tired of all these shows that exploit people with serious problems.

What's that? A snow storm? I hadn't heard....I kid I kid.

I havent watched intervention much (since the no cable and all), but HBO put out a book on addictions a couple of years ago...I was interested in knowing what a TV station would have to say about them. Turns out the book is over priced, and lots of pretty colors, with very gripping and interesting stories, worth the read.

YAY for tall friends!!

Did you guys get THAT much snow?? its not too bad here in the tdot. I was just outside shovelling...its manageable for sure. not at all the snowmageddon that I was anticipating.

Wiwille, you should get a day off, nevermind working in your pjs LOL!!

Rawbean, ha!!! I loved your comment on FB about being minus 2 etc, that made me laugh out loud! I'm not into intervention either, nor do I watch Celebrity Rehab...not because they're sad...I just don't want to watch.

PP, the snow is not bad here really, I was picturing it up as tall as me. They always do that though, hype it up, spark mass fear and then there's a flake.
