I was walking to the post office today and was amazed at the amount of dwellings that have sheets, flags, newspapers, you name it for curtains. Mind you the street i was on is a bit dodgey and more than one had smashed windows and garbage strewn around. I find it all rather bizzare though.
I've been ridiculously busy trying to get all of my travel stuff in order, pictures, visas and the like. Which brings me to vaccinations. I just spent the same amount on vaccinations as i did on a cheap trip to the Dominican a few years back...crazy i tell ya!! I had 5 needles and everything under the sun put into my body. I feel better now as that has been completed and my applicaion has been sent off so now i wait and hope that they will let me in :)
I was thinking about blogs the other day and the "friendships" you build with fellow bloggers. I probably keep in regular contact via blogs with my fellow bloggers, moreso than my own real life friends which is also rather bizzare. I'm just curious to know how other's feel about this and whether or not you consider fellow bloggers to be friends? Would you be upset if a blog you regularily read disappeared as the writer was no longer interseted in blogging? Do tell......
I'll be gone for a few days to a conference and then to some training. Enjoy the weekend!!!

Wow look at you the, busy businesswoman going to conferences and trainings. Nice.
I think my bloggy friends are AWESOME – so cool, and sexy. I do miss berly you know. she doesn’t post anymore and I miss her. Here is a 5 minute tribute to my bloggy friends:
When I feel like spending some cash
I always try and hit on Miss Ash
She would never take me up on my offer
She wants someone like Hasselhoffer
When I feel a burning sensation when I pee
It reminds me of the one called PP
But frankly, I want to take a bite
Of the one called sexy ‘burbanite
She can be gross and she can be girly
Oh god how I miss berly
Don’t wanna be a womanizer or a boozer
I just wanna be the biggest loser
I think we keep in pretty regular contact...BUT I also understand where you are coming from. I have the luxury of calling you whenever I want, or seeing you at least once a week, if not more. So maybe we dont feel as obligated to talk everyday, because I generally know whats going on in your life, where as, your blog friends are clueless unless you fill them in.
Does that make sense. Am I taping survivor for you tomorrow???
When You said you had everything under the sun in you, I got quite intrigued!
My blogging buddies know more about me than any of my friends!
I would definitely be disappointed if the blogs and the people behind them disappeared one day.
It's an interesting phenomenon around a virtual cyberspace community, which is essentially what blogs can turn into.
That's also what makes them cool as well because under most circumstances you would never meet nor be exposed to such a diverse group of people and their ideas.
When I had some shots before I travelled in Asia, my doctor was actualy trying to "upsell" me on some additional ones. What the heck!?!?!
Oh! I was just thinking the same thing the other day. I do talk to some bloggers more than I talk to my "real" friends. And, it is still strange for me when my best friend calls and says "So, what do these new shoes look like?" and I didn't tell him about the shoes -- I just posted something about it on my blog. And, my Mom is always asking me if I talked to my sister recently and I say "no" but then she mentions something that's going on in her life and I say "Oh, yeah, I did read that" even though I haven't "spoken" to her in awhile. But, I do really like all my non-real-life bloggy "friends" a lot. I mean, I always check up on you. Here is it -- before 7am -- and what am I doing? Sleeping in? Nope. I am blogging. That's gotta mean something! So, yes, I would consider you friends. And, I would be really upset if you stopped blogging.
so, did your vaccinations cost you like twelve million dollars like mine did? i literally had a heart attack when they rang it through the cash!
perhaps some slight exaggeration, but still very expensive. my doctor also tried to upsell me on shots and malaria medication as well.
i can't wait though. i'm sooo excited!
Yeah i would miss blogs from those that either read mine regularly or that I read often. It is good to keep track of people.
Scott
Yrautca, thanks for the poem LOL
PP sure it makes sense.
BB see to an extent so do mine. I have real life friends who blog but for the ones that do not i think my bloggy friends know more too.
2DP, I agree as well that it is a bit of a phenomenon i still don't know how i actually feel about it though.
Jay, did you go for them? I did my research so i knew what i wanted, had i not done that i probably would have agreed to anything.
SS, blogging at 7am, wow!!!
Tokyo Tin Tin, yeah it all cost me $430, and i have a prescription for the malaria pills...which will cost even more, i doubt they are covered. Sheesh...but it's worth it!
Scott, i agree with that as well, i enjoy reading certain blogs regularily. What would i do at work all day otherwise :P
Hmmm. I just kind of wrote about this over at my place.
PP and i were talking about this the other day. I think we do develop a close network of regular readers that after awhile almost becomes like a family. Truth be told, my blogger friends know more about my deepest darkest feelings than anyone but my best friend.
And most definetly I would be upset if someone I liked stopped blogging. I get antsy when I can't blog for a long period and can't catch up on what's going on in everyone's lives.
