After a long weekend of kayaking, movies and a very early breakfast I've opted to name 8 random things about myself as JLee did.
1. I am absolutely terrified of what I call gagillipedes (the ones with a million legs that run really really fast .... BLEH) as well as spiders and really almost any insect. I just find them terribly creepy to the point where I actually will have a mini panic attack shall I say. Heart starts to race, I feel scared and sometimes I even cry. Not only shameful but ridiculous as well.
2. I dislike salt and will eat it if it is already on something, but on very very rare occasions will I actually add it to a dish.
3. I can get both of my legs behind my head. I took dance class for 10 years which helped with flexibility haha
4. I like Nickelback....yes you read that right. Everyone I know loathes them. I wouldn't buy an album or go and see them live or anything, but if they are on the radio I will sing along.
5. Which brings me to this answer, I'll sing just about anywhere and everywhere. In the car, in a store if I dig a song I will sing along. I've called up LD on many occasions to sing her a song on her answering machine "Who sings this?"
6. My self esteem is essentially non existant however I'm working on it :)
7. I would really love to go skydiving, tandem of course. If I can get the courage I may even do it before the summer ends.
8. I absolutely hate sorting socks, it's torturous for me. I only wear black socks and am ready to buy about 30 pairs of the exact same ones so I won't have to sort them any longer. It's just so tedious, some are shorter, some are longer, some have little designs.....ugh hate it.
As most of you know I sometimes watch questionable television programs haha. I absolutely love dancing so it should be no surprise that I am enjoying this season of So You Think You Can Dance. I generally enjoy the funky hip hop routines and the popping however, this dance really struck a chord with me. It seems to represent passion, turmoil and struggle within a relationship. Plus the song rocks(Dancing by Elisa), check it out:
And Elisa live at the Vatican with an orchestra, man she has a beautiful voice:

I think the whole two legs behind the head is gonna get you a lot of unwanted searches on Google. ROTFL.
I hope it doesn't, though.

It takes a big person to admit the Nickelback thing Miss Ash & I applaud you. Ha.
And sorting socks is one of life's biggest time wasters, frustrating and boring as hell.
Two legs behind the head and your self esteem is low... i just can't believe that.
Nickelback eh? Well you know my thoughts about that... every time a Nickelback song is played, god kills a llama.

Skydiving rules.
I'm so confused. The socks (I do that too), the singing (just try and stop me) and the legs behind the head thing ([insert pickup line here]) are very intriguing, but then you throw in that Nickelback thing.
Nickelback likes your pants around your feet.
..so does their record company.
4 & 6. Have you ever thought that maybe the reason why your self-esteem is so low is because you listen to Nickelback? If I listened to Nickelback, I'd hate myself, too. :P
I usually don't like contemporary-ish dance, but that vagrant dance Sara and Jesus did was my favorite. Also, wtf is up with getting rid of Ricky!? He's one of the best guys!
Natalia hahaha, I never thought of that oops.
2DP, i'm not embarassed to tell you about Nickelback as you own some questionable cd's ha!
Scott, perhaps i'll post a photo one day LMAO. I thought it was everytime you masterbate, God kills a kitten :P
Wiwille, you've been i'm assuming? Think i'll shit my pants?
WIGSF, haha not everyone loves all of my random bits damn!!
Hex, cute.
Michael, the vagrant dance was very cool too. All the dancers did one like that last year it was amazing.
You're all Nickelback haters!!! Haha.
Very interesting...I like Nickelback too! I support you in that. I don't quite get the salt thing though because I put it on everything.
Man, I was blown away by that dance routine as well and I looked and looked for that song after the show! I couldn't find it anywhere. Seems you have the inside scoop...
I've done 15 jumps. If you have the nerve to even consider doing it you'll be fine. You will not regret it I swear. People talk about the rush and all that, but really what keeps me going up is the breathtaking view after the canopy opens. It's unlike any you'll ever see.
I have to admit that "so you think I you can dance" show is pretty good!
Post pics of you with your legs behind your head!
I too hate spiders. I swear I almost got in a car accident b/c I was driving and one came down in front of me and then decided to land on me. I'm just glad everyone around me noticed and got out of the way of my swerving vehical.
I used to be able to do that with my legs when I was younger. Now I would just like to do the splits again.
As for the skydiving, done it, loved it and I want to do it again. We used 1800skydive. They have a website and they are a national business so they might have one where you are.
I don't think I'm into skydiving. It's true that Ash makes a total ass of herself every time there's a creepy crawly. I believe that you used to be able to get your legs behind your head, but after having seen you do yoga, I don't believe that you can still do it. You'll have to show me this weekend, maybe you can pick someone up at gay pride and show them too.
Oh my God, I just had a flashback, remember the time that we were at Pride and PP started talking to some guy (I think she had fries and he just started eating them) and then the next thing we noticed was that she was making out with the guy? Remember that? So weird, no wonder PP loves Pride so much. The guy's girlfriend didn't seem to mind either.
Obviously Nickelback does suck... but I still sing along. Stupid catchy songs ;)
The legs behind the head thing is impressive though. I am the soooo not flexible though. My doctor actually laughed at me the last time I was there and said I might be his least flexible patient. Can that be? Really? How sad. I guess I'll have to stick with impressing people by showing that I can fit my entire fist in my mouth.
Things I love about Ash (in order to boost her self esteem):
- She's funny
- She has beautiful eyes
- Apparently her flexibility would be amusing for parlor tricks
- She's not afraid to sing out loud
- She likes to help those in need
- She's very popular so obviously other people like her too
- She has fabulous taste in purses and other accessories
- She's athletic, well-traveled and smart
- I've heard from the fellas that she has a nice rack
- She's an excellent writer who always keeps me interested and entertained
- She's modest
- Most importantly, she knows how to have a good time
Need I go on?
