Do you remember the TV show COPS??? Well my friends, I made myself a cup of tea and lost a few brain cells watching that program on Saturday evening. As I'm watching the train wreck in front of me I get a text from my friend : "Why are you acting like a fluppy fool...lmao! I'm watching COPS and had a good giggle!"
You see my fellow bloggers I have a VERY hard time deciphering lyrics to songs. Many many years ago I thought that the line "Why are you acting like a bloody fool" was actually "Why are you acting like a floppy fool" from the COPS theme song. My friend was apparently watching the same quality programming as myself on Saturday evening and thought it would be funny to send me the text. I called her up and we both just started to laugh at the ridiculousness that is me.....clearly I've been in need of a hearing test for years and years!!
Tonight I'm off to volleyball which makes me very happy. I started back last week after a month and a half hiatus due to my shoulder injury. I'm sucking it up and getting back out there even though the arm is still in questionable shape....I'm sure I'll live....but I may whine if it hurts :)
Now I want to know, what are your guilty pleasure TV shows?? I have a few dandy's the number one probably being Paradise Hotel.....and apparently COPS!!

COPS, wow, that is sure something.
Hope that the shoulder survived.
Scott
I am the worst at deciphering lyrics. I actually though Jimi Hendrix was singing "Let me stand and steal your fire" in the song Fire. What the heck does that mean?
I used to watch Cheaters. That's the show where the cameras follow a person when they catch their partner cheating.
Whenever I'm home sick or something, I'll watch a bit of Jerry Springer. Even after I saw that one where this guy was in love with a pig.
My guilty pleasure is reality shows like "Rock of Love 2" on VH1.
I was late for work yesterday because I had to see who got eliminated. lol
It's ok about the lyrics. It's more fun to make up words that are wrong anyway ;)
I can relate to substituting ridiculous lyrics, but I always enjoy finding out years later just how wrong I had been.
As for TV, I can't handle cops, but the first Paradaise Hotel (years ago) remains one of my favorite reality shows of all-time.
Nice one on the gym.
I watched "Moment of Truth" the other day. That is less pleasure and more guilt.
Scott, haha I'm sure you watch some questionable shows :P
WIGSF, oh man I've seen Cheaters it's an interesting show. As for Springer, shame on you....that's the one show I absolutely cannot stand...that and Flavour of Love.
JLee, shockingly I have not watched that one yet haha!! I'd imagine it's full of groupie/cougar types.
2DP, They are currently running the old PH as well as the new one. I'm watching both :)
Wiwille, I saw the very 1st episode and then could not stomach any more.
I love crime shows on A&E. Cold Case Files...American Justice....all that crap!
Sometimes COPS is such a train wreck you have to watch it. I have been watching some Big Brother this season. I havn't watched it since season 1.
Rawbean and BB, I love those shows too!!
My guilty pleasure is the "World's Best Police Chases"...I love when those come on!! :o)
Umm TV shows with guilty pleasures........we have some awful current affairs programs on at 6.30 down under. They take sensationalistic journalism to the extreme with their headline grabbing stories and excessive bias........they are unfortunately slightly addictive!
Lindsey I've never seen that, but i'd imagine I would enjoy it LOL.
Aussie Pom, hey it's been ages!! We have those as well like TMZ and Inside Edition, they are fun to watch every now and again.
Do you know COPS was started during the last writer's strike as a solution to the lack of other programming out there? So was America's Most Wanted... don't know if you have that there.
Paradise Hotel 1 was the worst show ever and I watched it all like a fool. Season 2 is sitting on my DVR unwatched so far but I don't think I'll be able to stop myself from having a Paradise Hotel marathon one day =)
