We had unseasonable weather on Monday, it was 11 degrees (52 F) and lovely out. So lovely in fact that I was able to go for a walk in a pair of shorts and a sweater. It felt wonderful to have the crisp air on my face, I felt rejuvenated and alive once again.

Tuesday/Wednesday was another story altogether. After work I went to the mall and not but 30 mins later the wind was atrocious and all of these ice pellets were attacking my face. We had one hell of a storm that night and unfortunately in the morning my car was completely plowed in as I had parked on the road at my friends house. He had to snow blow around my car however, halfway through ran out of gas. So off to the gas station he went; in the meantime I was hurdling snow drifts to try and clean off my car and of course got my pants soaking wet. I went back inside to change into yesterdays dry clothes ( I sleep at their house on Tuesdays) and was finally able to leave for work. I arrived 45 minutes late, in yesterdays clothes looking rather disheveled and of course my hair resembled that of a rat's nest due to the falling snow and wind. I was not a happy camper.
The weather did let up in the afternoon and it actually became quite sunny outside and rather nice. I have looked at the forecast however and apparently we're going to get another doozey this weekend on my birthday. UGHHHHHH!!!!! I'll be spending the day at the tanning salon and stuffing my face with Japanese food and beer!! That should make me feel better :)
Seriously though, I can't fucking stand one more minute of this wet shit!!! I hate it!!! How can it go from 11 degrees to minus 20 in less than 24 hours????

I hear you on this. It was gorgeous and 70s yesterday here, then today rain and nearly freezing! I am so confused. I should go and have Chinese food and tan even though it's NOT my birthday so I can feel better! lol
Awhh that totally sucks.
Now I know why I pay more rent - because it's going to be 14C here today!!!
Sorry....but I paid my dues in Winnipeg, I know the hell you speak of.
You need a summer home. I would so like to trade weather with you. Seriously.
Jlee, you should totally go and do those things, birthday or not!! Treat yourself :)
Rawbean, you've definately put your time in as far as cold weather is concerned.
Wiwille, I really do! You like having a blizzard every other day?
15 centimetres this weekend!
And you can always celebrate your birthday on another weekend.
I wanted to go away for the weekend, but I don't want to drive in shitty weather. I took the subway yesterday.
I can count on my hand how many times it has snowed in Houston. I don't think I could ever move back to the cold again.
That looks pretty bad. We have been enjoying better weather and I am getting ready for spring.
Ooohh!!! Happy pre-birthday! As for the weather problem... move to Florida ;)
That looks really ugly, but the weather has turned worse in Austin as well - it's only 60 degrees and sunny today. Ha.
But regardless, have a hell of a good time on your birthday. You should bring the party to you - inside someone's place with loads of Japanese food & beer.
WIGSF, try 50 cm this weekend and now I think my bday plans are going to be wrecked because of the storm :(
BB, yeah it's getting worse, i'd stay home if I were you.
Drywall Mom, you are soooooo lucky!! I think I should move asap lol
Yrautca, well that's promising for you, it looks like we'll have another 6 weeks of this shit.
SS thank you :) and I should but that would be tricky unless I married an American lol
2DP, looks like that might have to be the plan, if anyone can even get here....50cm is a lot, crossing my fingers it's done before tomorrow night :)
Yeah, now they're saying much more than 15 cm. Perfect weekend to stay home at veg out in front of the TV.
Ugh. I hear ya. We haven't even had a tasty tease of warmth in MN. It's just sucked!
Happy, Happy to you, btw!
Happy Birthday, you got about a foot and a half of snow. how thoughtful of god... hehehe
