Surprisingly the most dangerous sport (if you call it that) is fishing......apparently from the amount of drownings, capsized boats and what not it's far more dangerous than football, boxing and parachuting.... who knew?
As for breast size, apparently women with pear shaped tatas are far more sexual than say women with orange or melon shaped breasts.....hmmm.....somebody get me a mirror!!
Anyway enough of that nonsense.......
I have an itty bitty MP3 player that I use while working out. Since I have been going to the gym four times a week lately, my 50 song play list is no longer cutting it. I could read load 50 new songs however it seems like a lot of work when in reality I'm going to want to change the list again in a few weeks time. I'm debating about sucking it up and purchasing an Ipod.....I'm just not sure which size I would need......I mean do I really need 10,000 or even 2,000 songs....I doubt it.....but will 200 be enough?
I would also like you my lovely readers to give me suggestions for songs to add to the player. Anything fast and upbeat to keep me going on the treadmill or even some harder songs to keep me or get me lifting those weights again. Ha! (I took a year hiatus from weights and want to get back at it). I prefer angry boy music to lift weights to a la Ministry/Linkin Park.
What songs get you moving??

Me I listen to Ministry a lot at the gym when I lift. I watch cash cab when on the eleptical though. Tao of the Machine, KMFDM, old Metallica, etc, always gets me going.
These are the albums I like to use when I work out. Either currently or in the past.
- Scenery & Fish by I Mother Earth
- Third Eye Blind by Third Eye Blind
- Herzeleid by Rammstein
- Go Time by Todd Kerns (lead singer from Age of Electric)
- Heated by Big Sugar
- any Black Crowes album
- In the Future by Black Mountain
- The Hidden World by Copyright
- Sonic Temple by the Cult (or either of their last two albums)
That's a good start.
That breast thing is interesting but what does a pear shaped breast look like?
I won't tell you what to listen to as I'm not sure you'd like it. But you totally have to get an ipod nano - once you get one you'll never go back!
I love "Manswers"! lol I've seen it a couple of times and I thought it was funny/informative.
As far as workout music, not sure if it's your cup of tea, but I like dancy/basey stuff like Goldfrap and Benny Benassi.
Wiwille, all good choices for angry boy music!
WIGSF, Ohhh I do like the Cult! I will definitely add some of their music.
Rawbean, that was my first thought...what does a pear shaped breast look like? And...I was hoping you would have a few songs...you listen to bands I've never even heard of, I want something fresh and new.
JLee, it's an odd show but yes informative in a way LOL! I'll have to check those guys out for my playlist :)
I would get an Ipod, they seem to be pretty cheap now, post X-mas. I suggest C & C Music Factory, very cheesy, but will get you going.
Pick up a 4gb IPOD that is all that you will ever need.
As for music, so much good stuff out there. How about trying out a band called Late of the Pier, good fun stuff to listen to while working out.
Havent seen the show.
As for iPod, I just got the iPhone with iPod. My biggest issue with it is that each song is 99 cents at iTunes. Sure you can somehoe learn to download songs from other services but thats a hassle.
So my advice is, definitely get an MP3 but not iPod. Get a Sansa with Rhapsody - unlimited downloads for a flat monthly fee.
I've never heard of that show, but I figure the fishing comes from all the drinking usually involved in that "sport." And I refuse to discriminate whether they be pear, apple, melon or virtually any kind of fruit. Ha.
Finally, you could probably stand to have at least 1,000 songs in your Ipod if you work out that much. I think I have that many (may be 2,000) and that seems like a good number. And I also prefer angry music to work out with that I rarely listen to otherwise. Try some of Kid Rock (who I generally don't like) because it's up tempo, and definitely try some of the Ryan Adams album 'Rock N Roll' which is a good CD to listen to when working out and beyond.
Well, I'm not a gym person, but if I had to think of a gym playlist, it would probably have a lot of techno. Not that I'm some e-tard candy raver or something but that kind of beat seems like it would work.
I second Wiwillie on KMFDM, and I'd add Rammstein and Prodigy to that list. What about some Beastie Boys, or The Roots (if you like hip-hop)?
BB, hmmm all I can think of is that ridiculous video with those turning bolts and the leggy lady ha!
Scott, thanks, I've never heard them before I'll give them a go!
Yrautca, I will look into those when I'm doing some research on the best player, thanks!
2DP, Manswers would be your type of show ha! Try to find an episode on the web. I'm not sure about Kid Rock but I'll give Ryan Adams a go :)
Pip, thats why I like dancey crap for cardio even though I"m not a huge dancey music type of gal. Ohhh prodigy good choice!!
Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin! that will keep you going all night!
I don't know about workout music though.
Hey Ash,
If you get a new player, you can feel free to give me your old one for my birthday!
