Egad!!! I've been stuffing my face with fry wagon poutine (fries, gravy and cheese curds) for the past few weekends so it's not surprising that I gained close to 5 pounds, Yikes!! I also took a small hiatus (3 weeks) from the gym due to my wonky knee and clearly it's catching up to me. I'm going on vacation in one month to a location that is going to be rather hot and therefore I need to get my shit together ASAP. My goal (don't snicker) is to wake up at 6:30am a few times a week to do the P90X DVD's, go to work and then hit the gym afterwards. If nothing else I hope to lose the 5 that I've gained plus another 5 if not more. I'm dedicating the next month to eating healthy and working out as I really have no other choice. My only problem is going to be waking up and working out at 6:30am as I am NOT a morning person at all, I loathe mornings. Clearly my punishment for being a slacker. On another note, the jury came back with a verdict for the 2nd case I mentioned in my last post.....everything turned out as I had hoped so I am very relieved. No word yet on the 1st case.
I spent the weekend putting together plans for a possible trip next year to Southeast Asia. It's a big one and will require lots of planning but I am very excited about the whole prospect. Fingers crossed that it becomes a reality!! Can you believe that it fucking snowed in the little town I was in, so much so that it stayed on the ground and someone made a snowman. Crazy weather for April!

My volleyball team has won the past few games that we've played which has definitely boosted our morale. I am very much looking forward to the coming weekend as it's Easter which means two extra days off of work, woo hoo!!! I'm feeling really good even with the damn weight gain :)

I'll never understand poutine. Cheese and gravy on a potato. Not for me.
Good luck with the doubling up on the gym.
First, that's good news on the jury front, so congrats on that.
And yes, three weeks off is enough time, but if you stick to that program you mentioned & off the fried crap, then you'll be just fine. I've heard reasonable things about that P90x thing, although have no idea about what it entails.
I think a month is plenty of time to get back on track. Be careful with the double workouts though as far as your knee goes. Concentrate on the quality of food and just regular workouts and you'll be fine. :)
You go girl!
Cxx
I ate poutine yesterday....mmmm. Actually it didn't have enough cheese and gravy.
Can't wait to hear about your trip planning. I am planning one too but its a ways off (still saving....sigh).
WIGSF, I fucking love it sooooo gooooood!!!
Wiwille, thanks!
2DP, I hope it works out and I'm definitely keeping fried shit away from my lips. I've also heard good things about the DVD's so I guess time will tell.
JLee, I will only be doubling up at the most 5 days a week, maybe even just 4 and if it gets to be too much then I will do one or the other.
Claire, thanks!! How is your working out going?
Rawbean, they always seem to be rather stingy with the cheese. As for the trip I'll keep you posted and would love to hear what you have planned as well. Vacations are soooo exciting!
Good luck with P90X. Its a tough program from what I hear.
You havent been on a trip in a while (I think) and maybe you are due one.
Have fun!
