I got a phone call the other day while I was at work. Please keep in mind all of my clients are at least of legal age to drive in the country.

C: "If I work from 8am to 12pm, how many hours is that?"

Me: "Four"

C: sounding a bit perplexed "Four?"

Me: stunned "Yes four"

Silence.......

Me: "Do you have any other questions"

C: "no"

Then I read this wonderful article in the newspaper. It made me laugh so hard as I can only imagine the cops watching the events unfold and the looks on their faces: (A RIDE check is where police examine drivers for signs of drinking and driving)

"Police conducting a R.I.D.E. program at 2 a.m. watch a man in a bar parking lot drive over a curb to the next parking lot to avoid the line. The driver lost the car bumper in the process and got out to retrieve it. After putting it in the backseat he was approached by officers. A 22-year-old man faces an impaired driving charge. "

These people are the future of our country folks!!! Have a great weekend!!

That phone conversation you had would be hilarious in a movie and then no one acknowledges it....hehe.

Kudos to you for not making them figure it out themselves. That probably would've taken forever.

I think YOU should have had some follow-on questions for that person. Ha. These are not good signs for the future.

It's so sad that the conversation with your client doesn't sound unfamiliar to me. I've had to help some kids with basic life skills math before too.

Rawbean, Ha!!

Wiwille, I don't have that kind of time.

2DP, I tried to find out why he was asking such a question but I didn't really get an answer.

Christielli, I believe you 100%. These kids need to stay in school.

Nope, the right answer would be,

You: 8am and 12pm of the same day?

Thats how it works in the actuarial world.

Yrautca, oh God that would be awful to have to think that way.
