Random thoughts and ramblings:

How the fuck does one eat a pomegranate? Apparently I ate them when I was quite young (so young I don't recall ever having one) and I bought two the other day. I cut one in half and tried to dig out the seeds......juice ended up all over my jammies, the counter, everywhere. It was a disaster. I just heard that they were so good for you and wanted to give them a go. Perhaps I should just buy the juice next time.

Have any of you seen that new show Modern Family? I know I watch a lot of mindless TV and crap but this show is freaking hilarious! Seriously, check it out if you haven't. I'm also digging Two and a Half Men this year, I've always enjoyed watching this show but they seem to be pushing the envelope even more this year and it's cracking me up!

Is it common practice around the world for folks to pull their car over to the side of the road or stop when a funeral procession is going by? I always do (except for last week, a big truck was in front of me and before I knew it the hearse had gone by and I felt like such an asshole). I made up for it this week though as I pulled over and stopped while one passed me by on the opposite side of the street.

I saw this movie trailer in the theatre months ago and could not for the life of me remember the name. I just remember that I wanted to see the film REALLY badly!! Well here it is and it comes out this month!! Yay!!

I've not yet seen Modern Family, but I think there have been several people who have told me to watch it. Maybe you were one?

That movie looks interesting. I'm really looking forward to the movie "Precious" coming out. The trailer made me cry, and I read the book on the train last weekend and it would have made me cry if I weren't on a train and forced myself to hold it together.

Ohh I won't be seeing that movie! Is it a musical? Egads!

The funeral procession thing has never come up. Huh....

Pomegranites take more time to prepare than to eat. When deseeded them (turns out you eat those jewel-like seeds), it's best to do it in the sink with some water running.

That's right. I just learned you on some fruit. Hang your head in shame.

Christielli, you must watch MF at least just once, seriously it's a nice break from the hum drum shows that are out there.

Rawbean, Ha! Yes it's a musical and it looks fabulous, I can't wait!!! So the funeral thing....if you're driving you don't pull over or stop to let them pass by?

WIGSF, that's a good idea, less mess. Someone else told me to cut it into quarters like an orange or something and dig the seeds out.

That is a good question about the pomegranate? I guess I don't really eat them. ha

The cast of Nine was on Oprah yesterday and it was the first I'd heard of it. It looks compelling and I've always liked Daniel Day Lewis.

I've never in my life come across a funeral procession. Seriously. I'm always afraid though that I'll come up to slow traffic and start honking and screaming before I realize there's a hearse a few cars in front of me.

Interesting fact about the pomegranate. Some say it was actually intended to be the original apple in the Garden of Eden.

Some people think that. Not me. Lol.

I have not a clue how to eat one, nor would I ever let anybody try to feed me one...especially a short man with a Napoleon Complex. Lol.

Jlee, *squeal* I taped Oprah all week I'm excited about that one, thanks for the heads up!

Wiwille, A)I'm shocked you've never come across one (I've seen 4 in the past month) and B) that totally happened, some guy at a green light was honking as the cars were waiting, I almost got out of my car to tell him to shut the fuck up. (I'm sure he had no idea what the hold up was)

SR funny enough I found a "how to eat" one guide beside them at the supermarket so I grabbed one. How odd that one would need a guide to eat a piece of fruit!

There is no good way to eat pomegranites. I pick out the seeds, and you have to be careful, but the juice still gets everywhere.

And 'Modern Family' is my favorite new show of the season. Just great.

Enjoy the weekend Miss Ash.

2DP, apparently you're supposed to cut the top off the fruit, then cut it into sections and then pick the seeds out...who knew!
