Things are running much more smoothly than last week so Amen for that! The cellphone is fixed (Bell is still dead to me), I am the proud owner of a Toyota, it hasn't snowed too much lately and my cold is obviously gone! Woo hoo!
I can't believe I'm going to admit this but I think I'm going to give good ole Weight Watchers a try. Yes you read that correctly! I'm not gigantic but I'm not a skinny mini either and while I have the books that my lovely friend let me borrow, they're not doing the trick. I need to be accountable to someone other than myself or a friend, someone to shame me and tsk tsk me if I don't show some progress. It's worked for a few people that I know so why the heck not give it a whirl?!? Has anyone else out there tried the program and what were your thoughts?
I'm active, I love to go for bike rides and hike and spin and all that jazz but I also love to eat out at restaurants. I mean hello what's better than some veggie korma and naan? Seriously if I didn't go to the gym I'd probably weigh like 300 pounds (Not that there's anything wrong with that! Quick what show is that from?!?)! I have the exercising down pat I just need to get the food part together! Why oh why must a deep fried mars bar taste SOOOOOO delightful!
Anyway have a great weekend everyone! I plan to pick up my car tomorrow (YAY!) and quel surprise go out for some Thai food with a friend and sit and watch Inception in our comfies at his place. Like I'm not going to eat yummy food until I join...pfffff!!!

Not that there's anything wrong with that is from Seinfeld. :)
Congrats on the new car!
My old roommate did Weight Watchers so she could fit into a wedding dress. It worked well for her! :)
A friend of mine did weight watchers with a lot of success. Good luck!
Seinfeld trivia... where's Slopmaster?
Anyway... Toyota. Good choice. They're good cars. Trust me.
PP, I can't give up chocolate for that long! LOL!
Christielli, yay you got it! I've heard it works well for people and I figure I could try it for a month or two and see what happens right!
Wiwille, well that's promising news, I do think I will give it a go!
WIGSF, that's what everyone was telling me. I loved the look of the mazdas but not the newer ones and who wants to buy a 2007 car in 2011....
Congrats on the new car! That is awesome. I have heard people having success with weight watchers. My coworker went from a size 8/10 (which is not big at all, but she is very small framed) to a 4 and has kept it off for years.
Weight Watchers worked great for me. I went from a 14 to a 6. And as long as I was following the program, I kept it off. I loved it.
Oh - and you don't have to give up anything you love. You just learn to plan for it!!
Congratulations on the new wheels!
As for weight watchers my parents have done it to much success. Keep us posted. I totally believe that being accountable to someone else is the way to go.
Congrats on the Toyota. My family loves Toyotas and they are pretty good.
So you will try anything BUT P90X?
Jlee, oh wow! That makes me hopefull!!
Berly, that's why I like their plan! You can still have a treat or go for dinner or whatever and still lose!
Rawbean thanks! And I agree cause me being in charge is totally not working, I need someone to shame me into it LOL!
Yrautca, no no no I will do that as well, but I need to get my eating under control. I still want to do the P90X!
