Yraucta will be pleased to know i have a date in the coming month. Scott stepped up to the plate and will be my 1st date for the dating challenge. For the record i would have gone out with him regardless as he seems funny and we have a lot in common. Now we just have to decide where to go. See we're both indecisive people and I thought perhaps my fellow bloggers could give us some ideas. What do you guys think we should do?
Here are some of our ideas:
I was telling him about a fetish party i went to years and years ago, that would make an interesting first date. We could dress up in fetish attire, patent bustiers, whips and saran wrap good times!!
The Andy Warhol exhibt will be on. I'm not a huge art buff but i do enjoy the galleries and Andy Warhol has some pretty cool stuff. A friend went and said it was small, but there were these weird pornish type videos playing.
We talked about getting really dressed up and going to a hole in the wall bar. Perhaps Sneaks as mentioned in my last post. Ties, dress pants the whole 9 yards while surrounded by the lovely artwork shown on my previous post and the graffiti filled bathrooms. Maybe we'll be there early enough to actually see the action go down, everytime i'm there there's police and bloody people around outside. Riff Raff i tell ya.
We also discussed the Film Festival. We could go and shmooze with the stars....well no not really. We would just go to a film, but there are some interesting ones playing.
PP suggested the underwear party in boys town aka the gay village. That's a tease for me and i doubt that he would be too into that LOL. Her real suggestion is Centre Island amusement park.
What does everyone else think?

FOR THE RECORD. I remember when you said i was a loser for having a blog, and now look, you've met a nice boy.
And...uhh...the Underwear party in the gay village, was also a real suggestion. I think that would be a Great first date. Look at H&C. Their first date was a strip joint, and now they're married...Just goes to show, that sometimes, dates like the underwear party, are great ways to get to know eachother really fast, and have a lot of fun. :)
That's a hell of a variety, and it's about time the challenge began.
I suppose it's mostly about how well you know the guy and how much fun he would be at a fetish or underwear party.
The dressing up at a dive bar would be fun, but might fizzle quickly.
I'd go with the fetish if you think he would get into the spirit or be safe and go with the film festival.

All of your ideas are pretty crazy for a first date, but as long as you are comfortable!

Anyhoo, I would go to the fetish party if neither of you is a fetishist. Otherwise it could get pretty messy if you get my drift ;)

first date...you can't go someplace where you can't talk and be yourselves, so i think film fest is out as is the warhol exhibit (there's something about being loud in a gallery that seems so wrong)
i'd go with some place fun, no idea where though

I agree with Slopmaster that you should do something simple and uncomplicated. But, I disagree that there should be no alcohol, Sloppy, there's no way that Ash will be able to get Scott's pants off if she doesn't get him liquored up first.
I like the artsy ideas -- the film festival or the art exhibit.

a first date should most definately involve alcohol - preferably before it even begings! (so that you're relaxed and whitty).
dinner/coffee first dates are B-O-R-I-N-G!!! you need to have something to be talking about. warhol exhibit is really cool (and something i did as a first date a few months ago). it definitely will give you stuff to talk about.
other suggestions: rent bikes and tour centre island
play croquet/frisbee/bocce
check out some kind of festival-ly thing
