*The Mole People bye Jennifer Toth, i read that years ago but recall enjoying it. Here's a quick review from www.allreaders.com/Topics/info_30873.asp
"It's about people living in NY's abandoned subway tunnels. At times Ms. Toth's account of homelessness in the dark, dangerous warrens beneath NYC can be frightening, heartbreaking, and infuriating all in the space on one paragraph. She interviews many of those who have temporarily or permanently dropped out of society to live underground. Their reasons are usually due to serious addictions to drugs or alcohol, mental health issues, evasion from law enforcement, or extreme destitution.
It is a world of death, disease, poverty, and fear where the author sometimes finds children, married couples, and intellectuals amongst the citizenry of the tunnels."

5 Items on my Desk
*Water & lipbaum
*My appointment book
*New Computer yay!!
*YCJA Info
*Ikea Catologue

No no, anyone can do it if they want, i'm not into tagging people. I'm posting from work so i figured i would leave something more tame than disco bush stories etc.

You should list some of the favority quotes that you keep in your wallet too.

And the DVDs were all good ones as I own every one of them as well.

Clue - love Tim Curry that swarmy bastard.

Yrautca, I will post about that at some point, keep your knickers on.

Scott, I'm not sure why we have not yet but we will.

2DP, alright i'll give you one that is in there. A woman went to meet with refugees and amputee victims and she said "I thought when i came here i would be saddened by all that has happened to these people, Instead i see their survival, their smiling faces. I am in awe of these people. It will take me a while to recover from this trip, and of course i hope i never do. The mind wants to forget because it hurts and weighs so much on the heart and soul."

It just helps me to realize that there are people out there who in my eyes have it really tough and awful things have happened to them, and yet, there they are smiling and living their lives. I think about them when i start to feel sorry for myself....helps me to put things in perspective, i don't have it so bad at all.

I've already said this on Scott's blog but there is something about Douglas Coupland I don't like. I think I just have really high expectations with his books.

Great list!
