Where do you think the above photo was taken??? Could it be an Art Gallery opening? Perhaps some type of rock concert......If you guessed a World Wrestling Federation Event circa 1992 then ding ding ding you win!!! That's right folks, the man on the left is wearing a tazmanian devil sweatshirt and the man on the right (that my friend is giving cut eye to which is kinda funny as she is wearing a faded denim shirt granted this was 15 years ago) is sporting his finest American Flag blouse, unbuttoned of course with a bandana/doo rag to boot. Hot stuff!!! I was a huge wrestling fan many moons ago, i'm talking when The Rockers ruled the ring and Tug Boat was still around. Here are some of my teenage crushes:Brett the Hitman Heart with Tugboat to the left
Marty Jannetty of The Rockers
The British Bulldog
I can't possibly leave out my boyfriend always and forever, Mr. Shawn Michaels once part of The Rockers
Here he is sporting his very luscious locks.....apparently in my early teens I had a thing for Mullets, who knew!!!
The below link is a montage with Shawns "Sexy Boy" theme song playing in the background.....hilarious.
Michael Shawn Hickenbottom
As an addendum, 2DP had a recent blog documenting some of the horrendous CD choices he has made over the years. First on his list was Nelson and their After the Rain Album. After I snickered and choked on my drink I confessed that I too not only owned the tape, but went to a tape signing and to their concert for this particular album. The year was 1990.....maybe 1991 and my love for long hair continued on haha. A few photos from the concert I attended.

I also had a crush on David Faustino when he played Bud on Married with Children (who also sported the Business in the Front, Party in the Back Do)
And lastly, I must not leave out the Corey's who both had questionable hairstyles:
Let me just end this with a quick note that my taste in men and errrr their hairstyles has definately changed......and for the better haha. Any bizzaro crushes for anyone else?

The great days of the WWF. Bret Hart was the man. I still love the guy. The one thing he missed though was the eye-candy to come to the ring with him. Macho Man had Miss Elizabeth. I miss Miss Elizabeth. She was great. By great, I mean hot, classy hot.
Bizarre crush... hmmm... I think I'm the only guy in the world to have the hots for Janeane Garofolo. I can't explain it, it was a phase.
I had a huge crush on the redhead from the Goonies.
Johny Depp, Luke Skywalker, Craig Biggio from the Houston Astros.
This is quite a list & it takes a lot of guts to own up to our past passions, especially when they include the Bulldog & Nelson. I knew all those wrestling guys you mentioned, and I attended a few matches myself (without an American Flag shirt).
But you trumped me with the Nelson signing party - what an experience.
WIGSF, I heard Brett is playing the Genie in a broadway/theatre production of Aladdin, no joke, check it out.

Sly, haha guilty I am!!! I like to think of it as having eclectic taste.
Wiwille, she was cute at the time.
DM, Johnny Depp is still a hottie!!
2DP, you mean that's not you in my photo, dammit!!
Ah, back when the mullet was hot. I remember the days...I used to have a huge crush on a bartender with the first mullet I had ever seen (I was underage, but still got in)
My embarrassing crush was Richard Greico. He looks like a freak now.
Yeah, I saw posters on the subway in TO. I read the article in the Star. And watch for it on Showcase, an episode of Sinbad he's in.
Chris Jericho was doing some work on Toronto stages as well.
Ashley! Now I understand. It all makes sense.
That 'cory's' picture is from Dream a Little Dream isn't it??
I liked the lovely Ms Elizabeth.
I would have loved to go tho that event. I was so jealous when my friend went to wrestlemania at the Skydome. Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior.
"You think I'm cute, you know I'm sexy, I'm not your boy toy...Sexy Boy"
David Faustino? Wow Ash, that one made me giggle (well they all did, but you get my point).
Okay, so I was always into personality, not looks, even in my younger years. Namely, anyone that could make me laugh. The strangest crush? Probably Judge Harold T. Stone (a.k.a.) "Harry" from "night Court." EEKKKK!
But, just last night I was watching t.v. at my friend's house and she told me that her perfect man (in looks and personality) is Jack Black. I didn't laugh at all. I mean, he might not be my IDEAL man but certainly I think he's quite charming. Call me a freak if you want ;)
I was so into Jordan Knight.

Bizarre crushes? I'm not sure if I can top David Faustino or Nelson. I don't think my crushes were bizarre, but how they started probably are. There was Christina Ricci (Adam's Family), Clea Duvall (Girl Interrupted), Julia Stiles (A Guy Thing), and probably half of the girls in the TXRD.
I guess I go for tough girls with a little bit of a crazy streak. :D
Awesome post honey - you crack me up!
And most of my ex-crushes are incredibly cringeworthy!
