This year, there were more than 40 spectacular illuminated sets; as well as entertainment and of course a small market area. I was surprised at the size of the lanterns and fell in love with the cute "chubby but agile" pandas.

The photos do not even do the festival justice but will give you a taste of what we experienced. Enjoy:

The above was particularly interesting as they used kitchenware to build the dragon heads. A close-up below where you can see the spoons, bowls and cups, very cool and creative.

I hope that everyone had a good weekend!!

Oh, that's a sword. Yeww.
I've only seen these lights while driving on the Lakeshore, I've never gone up there before, it looks great.
I like the way you think.
That festival looks beautiful.

I was getting a little worried there if you were feeling ok ;)
And we established a long time ago that 'farting' is among your top 10 thoughts ...hahahahaha
Farted in a jar? You are creative.
That looks spectacular! I can only imagine what it must have been like in person.
WIGSF, haha
BB & Scott you should check it out, it ends Oct 7.
Wiwille, figured you'd appreciate that one being the classy gal that I am.

JLee, they were massive and some were even mechanical.
Hello pretty feet. You are a very beautiful woman. Will you please join us for our conference?
Many blessings,

I wish I had more to add (did laugh about the fart in the jar thing, and it seems possible to me), but those pics are really cool. The colors are excellent.
