Yay we had 7 people show up for volleyball this past weekend which made me very happy. We did lose but had a good go of it so no complaints from this gal.
I had my first fall outside today, it seems as though everything is covered in a big thick layer of ice around here. It wasn't spectacular at all however I am thankful that there were no witnesses what with my big ego and all. My ankle is a bit tender but fingers crossed it will feel better in no time as I have to get my ass to the gym four times this week. I figure if I went with a sore back and a terrible cold then I can manage with a sore ankle. I'll just have to get creative :)
I must say I am rather disappointed in my progress or lack thereof thus far with this gym bullshit. I have been going to the gym four times a week for the past month and a half focusing strictly on cardio and jogging like a mad woman. I've only lost 2 pounds, two freaking pounds.......what the fuck is that??? Mid February I will be finished with this bloody goal and plan to try something new that will involve 90 grueling days of weights and cardio. It's a video that a few of my male friends have tried and swear by. I must say I'm a little nervous though as one of my friends (who is buff as hell) says that he has a hard time with this workout. At this point I will try almost anything........

I've been feeling a bit of the winter blues this week. I'm not sure if it was the cold I had or the lack of sunlight or the million different things on my mind but I have not been a very happy kitty. I won't bore you with the trival goings on of my mind but I do need to snap out of this funk pronto, I'm just not sure where to begin......perhaps a tanning booth!!

If I may offer my opinion on the tanning booth. Tanned people are less attractive than people with a more natural hue. I understand some people are very white, but that's okay. That's the way some people are made. Besides, tanning too much makes people look like old purses.
I usually drink to get all cheery...oh you knew that.
How's your diet? That may explain some of the lack of progress you're seeing.
WIGSF, I meant for the light not the tan....but really who am I kidding I love to tan and I have all of the wrinkles to prove it!!
Wiwille, the diet could be better but really it's improved a million times over. I very rarely eat out anymore and I've been trying to follow the WW points system. I think my weekend shenanigans are going to have to take a back seat.
I'm sorry to hear you've got the blahs. I know what you mean, winter can be a bitch, but just think it's almost february, the days are getting longer, spring and summer will be here in no time.
I'm sorry you have the winter blues. It can get you down to have physical injuries and illnesses combined with the lack of sunshine. It's understandable. I would try the tanning thing. It couldn't hurt!
Feel better :)
Sorry to hear about the fall. That is never good at all.
I was thinking a SAD lamp would be a good purchase. I get way too tired in this weather. It blows.
Rawbean, I did notice that it is just a tad lighter out when I leave work whereas before it was dark. Yay for spring!
JLee, yes I think I will give it a go sometime this week. It can't hurt to try and will most likely make me feel a little bit better.
Scott, yeah I've been feeling rather lethargic, don't want to go out, too cold, too tired etc. I will look into the SAD lamps...I wonder if they actually work?
Be more concerned with losing inches than pounds. Take inches off you waist, your hips, etc. (Don't take any off the boobs if you can!).
This time of year gets depressing - I think it's the cold and unrelenting gray.
Nice work keeping up the gym routine, and you can definitely go with a busted ankle - trust me as I've tweaked mine many times over the years playing basketball. I'd add weight into the routine and ride the bike.
As for the video program, you should post about it once you're involved as some of those things are tough if you work at it.
BB, we seem to think alike, I'd like to keep my tatas as well!
2DP, I loathe the bike as I feel it does nada however I was forced to use it the other day. As for weights I would like to get back at those as it's fine to be skinny but who wants to be skinny and jiggly lol.
