Finally we had a lovely weekend weather wise, it was bloody gorgeous out! I took advantage of this and went boating for the 1st time in years and years. Unfortunately my two hour drive took four hours (I'm beginning to see a pattern here) through no fault of my own, long weekend traffic is a bitch and I was quite late and had everyone waiting for me.....oops! This meant that the prime sun time was spent in the car cursing everyone around me for going up north as well. Not only did I spend 4 long hours in the car but once I arrived at my friends house it was another hour long ride to his friends place who had the boat. I should really look into buying an RV or getting a personal driver, anything to make these long hauls more enjoyable. I did love the drive up to the 2nd destination as we took my friends jeep, top down, sun shining, it was fabulous.


We did eventually get out onto the water and spent most of our time at the marina with a bunch of other boaters sitting around a fire, drinking and having a few laughs. We went back to his friends place around midnight and spent the rest of the evening hanging out in the hot tub. I could get used to this sort of thing!



I was hoping to spend my extra day off relaxing as it's been go go go lately and I'd love to just veg in front of the TV in my jammies. Apparently that is not going to happen, it's supposed to be 27 degrees tomorrow ( nice and hot people) and I've been invited to a small get together with friends......swimming and a BBQ, how could I turn that down when the weather is going to be so beautiful???
