I was having dinner recently with PP when I kept noticing this awful BO smell waft by every so often. It finally dawned on me that it was one of the waiters in our area. I wanted to vomit every time he walked by (which he did like every 5 seconds) and tried to hold my breath whenever I saw him heading our way. He kept coming over to clear plates, asking if we wanted more drinks and we were like "NO" hoping he would stay away. Next thing we know he's at our table with a drink....WTF?? It's like he secretly wanted to torture us!
Come to think of it I had a waitress at the same restaurant years and years ago totally let out a fart while standing next to our table. It HAD to have been her as she was the only one around and her ass was relatively level with our heads. Gross!!
It's not like I'm a bad patron, if I was then I would deserve such things but I'm not. I smile, I'm polite, I say yes please and no thank you.
Perhaps the waiter hates his job or has had shitty customers in the past and this is his only way to seek revenge. So he decides to go to work sans shower, rolls around in horseshit, rubs fish guts all over his body and then hits the tanning salon to bake it all in. Mmmm delish!!
As for the waitress.....perhaps she just ate a little broccoli before starting her shift, fair enough but seriously get the fuck out of the way if you're going to shit your pants while taking someones order.
Clearly I need to find a classier place to eat!

In my experience, Dennys has awesome wait staff. So, it couldn't be Dennys.
Maybe you were a bad customer and the staff there remembered you and purposely sent smelly over to your table. You probably got a sneezer as well.

Claire, me too it's like an assault on my nose/eyes/lungs.
WIGSF, Well then they must have had a whole section of bad customers because that guy was all over every table in that section.
Now I'm a smelly guy, but I do things to mask my no attractive scent, like shower. Amazing how that works.
Maybe the heat in the kitchen was too much for this chap, or maybe you really need to find a new eatery.
Ash, I have a few friends who are waiters, and we'll go out together on the weekend when I don't have to work, but they do. We'll stay out all night partying and then they'll head straight to work.
I can't imagine what kind of service they must be giving their patrons or how bad they smell by the end of their shift.
Don't you wish you could pull that kind of shit at the average office job!
Disturbing. I would complain to the manager and never go back. I can be rather blunt in such situations.
It's true actually, Denny's does have good wait staff. I've been twice.
I hate nasty BO, the locker room at a men's gym can be a bad place to be.
I've smelt some nasty garbage the week before (before the strike ended here).

Jennifer, It would have bothered me less had he been out partying....somehow I doubt that he was, I think he was just super stinky.
Yrautca, i wouldn't complain to a manager about such a thing though I have complained about a higher up treating a young kid like shit. That pissed me off!
BB, yeah that's another one, stinky people at the gym bleh!! Hey maybe that's what I should do so that people don't take the treadmill directly beside me...I won't shower for days before I go.

2DP & Jlee, no no he didn't sit down with us, he asked us if we wanted another drink, we said no and like 5 minutes later there he was with a drink for us....like a refill lol.
