----------------------------------------------------------------------------

We went out for dinner and drinks afterwards and stayed at the Duke for a good 8 hours enjoying the sun and each others company. I also really enjoyed this deep fried mars bar (I took the photo a few bites in I just couldn't help myself) so delightfully yummy!! Apparently so was the beer as I managed to drink my fair share over those 8 hours and have a few apologies to make.....oops!!
The next day I got a little tour of the area where PP has her apartment as we had to grab a few items before heading out. It's super cute and full of life, little boutiques, my fav quick yummy Asian restaurant, the kind of place you could spend a leisurely afternoon window shopping and eating ice cream. We then went to a BBQ at a friends house who I haven't seen in quite some time. There was some karaoke, poker and catching up with one another. Another friend also showed up whom I haven't seen in a good year so it was great to be able to hang out with him as well. We dropped him off downtown and then headed home in the wee hours of the morning arriving close to 2am. I actually thought the drive would be much longer due to construction and well my luck but surprisingly traffic was flowing in our favour.
On Sunday I went swimming at a friends place and sure enough another friend that I haven't seen in a very long time came by for a visit with her new baby girl. We made plans for a girls night this weekend as we have much more catching up to do. Apparently I'm terrible with keeping in touch and seeing some of my friends but I sure as hell made up for it this weekend!
I freaking loved being able to lounge by the pool enjoying the sun and just being able to relax in the city. I've been sort of here there and everywhere lately either on mini road trips or visiting friends out of town that it's rare to find me actually situated near home hanging out, it felt great!
Of course the next few weekends are full as well ( I anticipate being away for the next four as there birthdays galore out of town and a long weekend) but I really can't complain, once mid September hits I'll surely be craving the sun and some fun as things tend slow down around that time. I've been SLACKING on my goal list like you wouldn't believe and hope to get back to working on my list once the summer has ended granted I have a lot of items that need to be completed in the summer. Bah!! Hope you all had a great weekend as well!!!

Sounds like this weekend was long overdue. Glad you had fun.
That prison is creeepy. Love it.
Man, you have an exciting life...sounds like a lot of fun.
I want to go somewhere. Waah! lol
Glad to hear it went well, and you might as well take advantage of more of these weekends for now. Why not? Live it up in the sun, and if you have enough beer, there are usually at least a few apologies you have to make aftwards. Ha. And that fried mars bar probably tasted better than it looked in that picture. :)
Where was the jail?
A deep fried Mars bar - wow! Claire tells me they are a Scottish specialty but I didn't get around to having one.
Sounds like you have tonnes of fun times ahead - excellent!
OMG....i need to start reading your blog all the time. Youre so hilarious. (and we were there for 9 hours!!! LOL)

JLee, meh it's not that exciting though there is always something to do.
2DP, you're right it looks a little disgusting in the photo but trust me it's lovely and gooey when it's deep fried!
Christielli, the Don and I'll tell you where you can get a deep fried mars bar in your neck of the woods!
