I’m well aware that it could be detrimental in more ways than one and yet I just can’t stop myself. I go back and forth between “this is a really bad idea” to “you’ll never know if you don’t try”. Of course my rational self always loses such battles and my other self takes control; the one full of hope and what ifs.......
I'd much rather take a risk than play it safe for you never know what the outcome may be. Regardless of what happens in the end I'm always happy that I tried! The anticipation gives me the butterflies.....makes me feel like I'm alive!!

That photo very much reminds me of the album cover for Carole King's Tapestry. It's in the way the light shines through the window. Very good record; if you haven't listened to it, give a try.
As for risks, I'm a very play-it-safe kind of person. Whenever I take a risk, it always seems to blow up in my face. But this post is very vague. Who knows what you're trying to achieve with this attempted risky thing. Whether you do or don't do the risky thing, you'll never know how things would have turned out if you went the other way. Remember Robert Frost, it's not the where you're going, but what you see along the way. (Well, that's what I got from that poem, maybe you got something different.)
But back to my original point, go listen to Tapestry. It's good.
I think you're spot-on right with this one . . . unless you're drunk at 2 a.m. and sending it. Ha. Otherwise, I always feel better putting something out there because there's no way you can get anything back if you don't play at all. Sounds like a greeting card for Vegas. Ha.
